Heaven VS World…

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  II Corinthians 5:17

for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.  I Samuel 16:7

As someone who is saved and has the indwelling Spirit of Jehovah God inside of his soul, I have conviction for the way I have lived my life up until now and also the burning desire to change.  He must increase.  I must decrease.  This is not an easy thing for a prideful man like myself to do.  Without the good Lord above, it would be impossible for me to transform myself into something better than what I have understood myself to be my entire life.  I know that with God; all things are possible.  God has forgiven my sins, sanctified me, and set me back on solid ground.  Alleluia Amen.  Here in the tangible physical realm, nothing has really changed.  My family still alienates me and is sure not trying to hear a Jesus Christ testimony from me.  After all, only in his hometown and among his own kin is a prophet without honor.  When a potential employer runs a background check on me, they aren’t trying to listen to me explain how I have changed and now follow the living God.  After all, I am a convicted felon: High risk and CANNOT be trusted.  To the mother of my children, I am a lifelong mess-up who is not fit to be a daddy to my little boy.  She regularly cuts me to shreds with her sharp sword tongue.  My mother, one of my only supporters, cannot let go of the past herself and regularly reminds me that I am in the situation I am in because of a lifetime of mistakes; not listening to her stern warnings.  True, mother, but not edifying…

You get the drift.  I do not need to continue painting the picture of what I was like before I came to the glorious light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  After all, my religion is a crutch I lean on to justify myself to most of my family of atheists.  BOO HOO HOO Violin strings…

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  Galatians 6:7

My prayer is that God would shatter every mold everyone has ever stuffed me in, break every chain of depression, anxiety, regret, and hopelessness that Satan places around my neck every day.  My prayer is that God would use my life as a testimony to many people to witness the transforming powers of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.  I was the worst of the worst: the chief sinner.  When I think about who I was in my twisted life of perverse sin and who I am today, I just have to lift my hands up high and scream THANKYA THANK..YA LORD.

I still hold on to the hope, faith, and love that I have when I imagine myself becoming successful in my finances, permanent sobriety, fatherhood, and much more.  I don’t want to point at my accusers/doubters and say “I told you!”  I would much rather people ask me what is was that made me turn myself around and become somebody admirable.  I will begin to tell them of a child born in Bethlehem…

I thank yall who are praying for me, Donald John.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

  1. It’s been an honor to watch you go from the man you were to the man you are, only Christ can do that in one’s life and you’ve become a dear brother to me.
I’m sorry for the hurts, yet not the strength that you’ve gained through the Lord God and in serving Him.
We all have made terrible choices in life and you know that the choices made in the past do not define who Christ is making us to be. We will not be completed until we see Him coming with a vengeance for His children.
I, too, have been one of the lowest of the lowest of sinners, and by the praise and glory of God can I that I am not as I was.
It’s an honor to know you, and I believe in you and the love of Christ in you, and truth always wins. Please remember that always, no matter what anyone says. I’ve been put down too, and it hurts, but we are put in the same place as Christ was in, and we are hated for His sake!
Know you have a sister in me and through hard and easy days, I’m always on your side, if you’re wrong, I’ll be praying for you, if you’re right I’ll be rejoicing with you, but never forget the distance you’ve traveled this far!
Remember that sobriety comes hard some days, but the evil spirits it brings are harder to shake, and as a mighty man of God, remember that it is far more important than anything this world can offer! Also remember that He that lives in you is greater than he that is in the world! You don’t need drugs, drink or anything but love, and God IS love!
My love, in Christ and with all happiness, joy and confidence in what Christ will do for you,

  2. God says it so clearly in 1 Corinthians 1:26-31. Music helps me, a good song by Jason Gray is Remind Me Who I Am – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKyY8zfjBMQ.

For His glory, God is working a symphony of your life. We are not who we once were! Paul persecuted the body of Christ, David committed adultery and murder. Yet, look what God did and does today with us. He sees you as righteous, holy, set apart, elect, called, chosen, beloved, friend, brother. His opinion is the only one that matters. Looking back is what the enemy does to try and condemn and cripple us from being used of God. Remind him of his future! Quote scripture to yourself. God alone supplies agape, no human being is capable of it.
